Mother found hanged on country estate days after daughter killed herself

A mother has been found hanged just days after her daughter committed suicide.

Beverley Dickenson, 49, was found in a garage on the Earl of Pemproke’s Wilton Estate by her husband David. She worked on the estate as a gardener and was found a week after identifying daughter Charlotte Dunne’s body.

Her son, Joe, told the Times: "Believe me, you can never tell when someone is going to do it. My sister was fine, so was my mum. There was nothing to be aware about."

Before giving a service yesterday, the Reverent Mark Wood said: "We are mourning them both. This is heartbreaking – it is terribly sad. I will certainly be saying prayers for them at my services today."
Wilton Mayor Peter Edge said: "As a town we feel extremely sad at what has happened."
 An inquest into Charlotte’s death heard that she died from hanging at her home on June 10 after being found by her mother. A second inquest heard that her mother died from hanging on June 17. Both inquests have been adjourned.
