Policeman allegedly shoots and kills mother of Nigerian tennis star, Angel Macleod
According to reports, the mother of 14-year old tennis prodigy, Angel
MacLeod was shot dead by a MOPOL officer after an altercation at a Lagos
hotel yesterday. According to Vanguard,
the officer who was guarding the hotel hit the deceased during an
altercation and she retaliated, hitting him with an object. Infuriated
at her response, the officer fired a shot from his gun which resulted in
the death of MacLeod's mother. It was learnt that the 14-year old is in
shock, as her mother was her primary dependant. MacLeod is the leading
junior tennis player in her category winning every trophy on offer.
